Petrozavodsk is a capital of the Republic of Karelia and a port on shore of the Lake Onega. It is terraced in the form of the amphitheater and spread along the coast of the Petrozavodsk gulf for 25 km. The climate is transitive from maritime to continental. Average temperatures of January -10, in July +15 degrees centigrade. Precipitations are 600 mm per year.
